How to Deal With Pimples on a Budget

No matter how much money you spend, dealing with acne is usually a long, frustrating, and painful process. 
I don’t think I’m exaggerating when I say that pimples are the MOST annoying thing in the world! They just show up, uninvited, on a day when you need to look your absolute best! When they do arrive, you can’t stop thinking about it, touching it hoping, it has disappeared, looking in the mirror and focusing only on that part of your face and telling yourself how ugly you look!


Now Let’s start with the basics: why do you have acne? It could be down to your hormones, your diet, stress-levels, skincare, lack of sleep, or even your bedding. So first, you need to make sure you’re doing all the right things for your skin. It might seem overwhelming, so we’re gonna break it down for you:
Here are the right things you should be doing :
Double cleansing: Aka, washing your face twice at the end of the day. If you’re not doing this, especially if you wear makeup – chances are you’re not fully removing the grime, pollution, and makeup that can wreak havoc on your skin and block pores. If you’re on a budget, ensure you’re using a good gel or foaming cleanser, like this Simple cleanser which is about £4 to  Wash, rinse, repeat – simple! We also recommend using an oil cleanser first (trust us, oil attracts oil), and then following with a gel cleanser.
Change your pillow as often as possible: Bacteria from your skin and dead skin cells will build up on your pillow every night.  This idea is to flip it every other day, and change your pillowcase every four days, or once a week.
Know what to avoid: High sugar foods and dairy all aggravate acne. If your diet is particularly sugary, try and cut back where you can – skip fizzy drinks, and keep an eye on your fruit intake. It is said that your skin and body is what you eat .
De-stress: Being stressed increases the cortisol hormone, which is your skin’s worst enemy. Learn to zen! Next time you feel stressed do some deep-breathing exercises, take a break and watch something that makes you laugh or listen to relaxing music.
Look at your makeup: Wearing makeup doesn’t give you acne (there are tons of women with flawless skin who wear makeup) but wearing the wrong makeup could. Check your foundations, primers, and moisturizers and make sure they’re non-comedogenic, which means they won’t block your pores.
Hydrate: Acne-prone skin needs moisture. Dehydrated skin produces more oil, which means your pores are more likely to get blocked, leading to breakouts. Look for a moisturizer that has a gel-like consistency, which will add moisture without blocking your pores.
Some pimples Busters I have tried and will recommend Mario Badescu Acne Cleanser (retails for £14 click ) I started using this cleanser when I was in desperate need to get rid of my acne. My timing to test an acne cleanser could not be more perfect. I started using it religiously every morning. The combination of aloe, chamomile and salicylic acid really seemed to be working well on my skin. Initially, I was scared that salicylic acid would over dry and my skin would be a dry, irritated and flaky mess, but I was surprised to see how gentle and hydrating this cleanser is. So, I started using it twice daily.This cleanser saved my skin. Within a span of few days, my acne calmed down to a great extent. The redness decreased and the painful bumps were not painful any more. My skin came back to its normal self in two weeks with regular use of Mario Badescu acne cleanser and I was a happy bear once again.  I still get hormonal acne here and there but this cleanser makes them heal fast
Lemon Juice :Lemon juice has citric acid and is loaded with Vitamin C. This helps exfoliate the skin and brighten it up, which is necessary is getting rid of bacteria and excess oil in the skin. Use some freshly squeezed lemon juice on a cotton ball and apply it on to the pimple. Do this a few times a day for best results.

Tumeric:My turmeric and yoghurt mask is my favourite DIY mask in the entire world! Turmeric has antiseptic and antibacterial properties which help fight pimples and reduce redness due to its yellow colour. I use it as a spot treatment by mixing it with a tiny bit of water and applying it on my skin using a cotton ball. Leave this on overnight and wash it off
